Colored Rocks

I've been synthing Black rocks, turning them into Painites here lately.

I went out and got a Goldsmith's Belt with my guild points, and headed out to Mhaura to synth them. I ended up getting 1 Painite, and 1 Deathstone. Out of about 3 stacks. Which is kinda crap. But I'm going to do it more often to make money money.

I also did Green rocks. I got 6-7 Jadites out of those. They sell for 10k each. I made about 100k profit from all of it though. Not too bad.

66 - Gold Ingots Farming

Here is a screenshot of me hitting 66, like I said in the last post. But, here lately I've been farming some Gold Orc Masks in Davoi, desynthing them into Gold ingots to sell. They are selling pretty good and I'm making a decent profit off of them. So everything is going fine, besides the fact that I am taking Goldsmithing REALLY slow here lately.

66 - On to Platinum Rings

So, in the past few days, I've decided that I am only going to skill up on Darksday. This is the only time really good for skilling up and it saved me money in the long run. So I got from 64.1 since the last update to 66. I finished up my Hydro Patas stage since it ends at 67 because the skill ups are rare now and take forever. So I'm moving right on to Platinum rings.


These aren't bad at all of a synth, I will basically break even with these, so it works out perfect. I'm at 66 with only 2 more levels to go until my Apron. Once I get my apron, with the +1 skill from that and the glasses +1, I will be able to get tier 3 HQ off of colored rocks. Which I will, over time, be able to earn a long of money back. It may be slow, but sure as hell worth it.

Darksday.. (64.1)

The past few days I have been leveling a lot. I took up Goldsmithing from 61.8 to I believe 64.1 or 64.2. This is really awesome, because of two reason. 1. I got done with my platinum hell stage, and 2. I am almost done with Bone Patas Stage.

Like in the last post, I harvest all of my platinum nuggets and synthed them into ingots. I sold the ingots for about a total of 800k+. With ALL of those synths, I believe it was about 30 or a little more, I only got from 61.8, to 62.3. Which is GARBAGE. So, I decided to move on to the Hydro Patas stage. I ended up buying out all of the AH of them and got to 62.5. Considering the AH only had 5 Patas on there, a .2 skill up from 5 synths is good.

Yesterday, an awesome Bonecrafting friend of mine, named Swat, helped me out a lot. It just so happened to be Darksday, which is the best day for skill ups in crafting, crafted me about 15-20 Bone Patas that I could skillup on during the Darksday. I got all of those done and ended up getting to 63.5.

Well this morning I wake up and log on to FFXI immediatly because I noticed that on FFXIAH.com there was 15 Bone Patas up on the AH for sale, so I was gonna buy them all out. Well, I logged on and it was 5 minutes until Darksday. SWEET! I get to skillup immediatly. So I buy all of the ingredients on the AH. It turns Darksday, and right on 0:01 I start my skilling up. Then, out of nowhere, I get this message....
GREAT! I only have 3 minutes skillup and it just turned DARKSDAY! THIS IS BULLSHIT. Thats all I could think. But, just so happens, I ended up being able to synth all 15+ of the bone patas and was able to get to a skill of 64.1 or 64.2. It was really awesome, I'm getting really close to my Goldsmith Apron and should be able to profit from all of this here soon. As soon as I hit level 65 I am going to start skilling up on Platinum Rings, which should take me all the way to level 70. By the way, I am starting to switch from growing Platinum nuggets, to the Elemental Ore. I am experienced in gardening these things, so It should be an awesome turnout for when I hit the Elemental Bead stage of Goldsmithing

61.8 - Update

Here lately my life has been kind of hectic. I've been working non-stop since summer let out, and I've barely had time to play.

I have been raising my guild points, I now have over 100,000. So now when I finnally reach 68, I will automatically be able to get my Goldsmith Apron.

The other day I logged on and what do you know, it was Darksday & Full Moon. So I was looking for recipe's I could easily synth to make money, and I happen to make my first HQ that I can profit from. So this is what I ended up making.
Woohoo, my first HQ for profit. It ended up selling for about 70k, and it only cost about 5K to make, which is a pretty good outcome.

Also, the time had come for yet another, HARVEST TIME! I got all four of my mules and got all of the nuggets gathered. I ended up getting about a total of ~14 stacks of nuggets. A problem I noticed was that I accidently forgot to plant a crystal in at least one of my pots on each mule, so technically, I only harvest 9 pots on each mule, which isn't too bad. But with all these nuggets, the AH here lately has been scarce of Platinum Ore's, So I have to hold off a little bit to synth these babies, which I don't mind really. After I get this bunch of nuggets synthed and sold out, I should be able to say that I am done with platinum and move on to the next part. Next, hopefully I will be able to garden Elemental Ores. I have had my experience with them in the past and I loved the income of these things, but they didn't grow too very often. But I am going to be very patient with them and careful of when to feed/harvest them, So it should be a good turn out. I also am going to teach my buddy Infamoushero how to grow these suckers and he'll be able to profit from it also, while I get some free skill-ups, haha.

Oh and by the way. Once you get past the platinum stage, you enter the Hydro Patas stage, which I mentioned in earlier blogs. Well, I came across a guy in Whitegate named Swat, who happened to be able to make me some bone patas so I can skill up on to get to level 67.

Now that I have a boencraft buddy, I will need a Woodworking buddy to synth the Elemental Ores into Elemental Beads for the Elemental Staves and whatnot, which is free skillup for me, and money for them. So everything will work out perfect in the end.. Ahhh...

Also, in my spare time, I decided I'm going to level up FISHING! I decided to buy the full Angler's set.. It won't get in the way with my Goldsmithing, because you can level both of them to 100 without reducing the other. SCORE. Also, I already have Cooking to level 60, so I can make all of my own bait, DOUBLE SCORE! I love this game... lol

Holy Skill Bat Man

I was bored, and we all know what Meek does when he's bored... Does stupid shit. I decide I'm going to take a little bit and level up my Goldsmithing. I mean, why the hell not right?

Before I did all of this, I did do some of the gobbie quests and raise my equipment sack up to 55 slots. They didn't have the items on the AH for the items for 60 slots of I would have done that, but 55 is a pretty good spot for me, so I'll just stay at that.

I checked out the prices on platinum ingots, and nuggets, ores, etc. Ended up spending 1M on items to synth. I bought 2 stacks of Platinum ingots at about 600k~ and enough stacks of platinum nuggets and ores to get me 12 ingots, which is about 300k~. I synth all the ores and nuggets into nice little ingots. Now I have 3 little pretty stacks of ingots I can sell for about 900k~. A recipe pops into my head, "Ohh, I should make some platinum sheets with these ingots." So I end up making these sheets. Come to find out, they don't sell very badly, but they don't sell very quickly either. So here I am with 3 stacks of platinum sheets that I have to sell one by one on the AH. I checked out the prices and they should be able to make about the same amount of gil back.

Oh and by the way. After all this bullshit, of 36 synths, 1M blown out the window, I ended up only getting to 61.3 Skill. Oh boy how I love this game...
